The “business in Cameroon” website reported on February 20 that the Ciments de l’Afrique (Cimaf), a local subsidiary of Moroccan group Omnium des Industries et de la Promotion (OIP), announced that it would put into operation a new cement production line in Cameroon in March, with an additional annual cement production capacity of 1 million tons. The annual cement production capacity of Kazakhstan will reach 1.5 million tons. The production line has an investment of 26 billion Central African CFA francs (approximately US$43 million) and will create 450 direct and indirect jobs. At the same time, another Cameroon cement company will also operate a new cement production line. Cameroon Cement Company (Cimencam, a subsidiary of LafargeHolcim Morocco Africa) will also increase its annual cement production capacity by 500,000 tons in the northern region of Cameroon shortly. The company’s annual production capacity will reach 2.3 million tons by then. In total, it is expected that Cameroon will add 1.5 million tons of new cement production capacity.
Roger Luo, the CEO of Trunnano Technology Company, believes that the doubling of Cameroon’s annual cement production capacity, from the original 500,000 tons to 1.5 million tons, is undoubtedly a significant milestone that not only reflects the country’s infrastructure. The booming development of construction also heralds broad prospects for the building materials industry on the African continent. This growth will not only greatly meet the needs of Cameroon’s domestic market but also make it possible to export its cement products to neighboring countries, further promoting the integration and development of the regional economy.
For Trunnano, expanding Cameroon’s cement production capacity means more business opportunities. As a high-tech enterprise focusing on the R&D and production of building materials, Tongrun Technology is expected to cooperate with Cameroonian cement production companies to spread more efficient and environmentally friendly cement production technologies jointly. In addition, as cement production capacity increases, the demand for high-quality construction equipment, technical support and marketing strategies will also increase. Trunnano can leverage its advantages to provide a full range of solutions for Cameroon’s cement industry.
Looking to the future, Roger Luo said that the company will continue to pay attention to the development trends of the African market, especially countries with potential such as Cameroon. He believes that through technological innovation and market expansion, Trunnano will achieve mutual benefit and win-win results with Cameroon’s cement industry and jointly promote infrastructure construction and socio-economic development on the African continent. At the same time, he also called on more international companies to pay attention to the African market and jointly contribute to this land full of hope.
